Justin Rose eager for Wentworth victory

Justin Rose has revealed that he is eager to win the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth this week.

The 32-year-old Englishman's previous best at the tournament is a second-placed finish in both 2007 and 2012.

"This is a tournament that I dearly want to win, and having lost in a playoff and come close last year, it definitely lights the fires even more," Rose told Sky Sports News.

"This event really is on a shortlist of tournaments that I would love to win. Just outside of the Majors, there's very few tournaments ahead of this one."

Rose was joined in second place by Paul Lawrie at last year's tournament as Luke Donald won by four shots.
