Rory McIlroy: 'Tiger Woods is my hero'

Rory McIlroy has described playing alongside Tiger Woods as "a dream come true".

Woods is widely considered to be the best golfer to have ever played the sport, and current world number one McIlroy has expressed his delight at being able to compete against his childhood hero.

"For me, just to play with Tiger is a dream come true," he told CBS This Morning.

"I've actually struck up a really good relationship with him over these past couple of years. To be able to play alongside your hero and then to compete against him as well, not many people in life get to do that."

McIlroy recently won the US PGA Championship by eight shots.
