Ian Poulter determined to return this week

Ian Poulter has revealed that he is determined to return at this week's WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral following his struggles with pneumonia.

The British golfer was forced to pull out of the Honda Classic in Florida last week due to the illness but claims that he will play this week.

Poulter said on Twitter: "Flying down to Doral in the morning.

"It's going to take more than pneumonia to keep me out for long. Itching to get back. Mind over matter."

The 36-year-old was sent for x-rays after being diagnosed with pneumonia but he will be aiming to challenge for his first title of the year this week.
