Greg Norman "lucky" to still have both hands after chainsaw incident

Former two-time British Open champion Greg Norman is recovering in hospital after an accident with a chainsaw which almost saw him lose his left hand.

Double Open Championship winner Greg Norman has said that he is "lucky" to still have both of his hands after an accident with a chainsaw.

The Australian seemed to suggest that he was close to losing his left hand after posting an Instagram photo of him recovering in hospital.

Norman also offered a warning to his Twitter followers by saying that people should "ALWAYS be respectful" when using a chainsaw.

Norman, who won the Open in 1986 and 1993, was the number one player in the world for a total of 331 weeks in the 1980s and 1990s.
