Rory McIlroy starts well at St Jude Classic

Rory McIlroy shot a promising round of 68 on the first day of the St Jude Classic in Memphis, Tennesse.

The Nothern Irishman, who defends his US Open title next week, ended the day tied for fourth on two-under-par.

American Jeff Maggert took a share of the lead as a score of 66 put him on four-under.

Maggert is joined at the top of the leaderboard by fellow countryman John Merrick and South Korea's Seung-Yuh Nol.
