Rory McIlroy admits to Caroline Wozniacki influence

World number two Rory McIlroy has admitted that his girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki has been a key factor in his early season form.

The Northern Irishman has enjoyed a brilliant start to 2012 and believes that tennis star Wozniacki is a great influence on him.

The 22-year-old said: "It's being close to someone who works so hard - that has got to have a great influence on you.

"I feel a lot different. I might be a little more focused on what I'm doing. I'm working harder than ever, and I haven't really reaped the rewards of it yet."

McIlroy is currently competing in the Honda Classic in Florida.
