Rory McIlroy "excited" ahead of BMW Championship

World number one Rory McIlroy is determined to win the BMW Championship that starts on Thursday.

The Northern Irishman won the Deutsche Bank Championship on Monday and is seeking his fourth PGA Tour victory this year.

"I'm excited," the 23-year-old is quoted as saying by Reuters. "I feel like my game is in great shape.

"I can't really rest or dwell on what I've done last week. I want to come out here and try as best I can again and put myself in the best possible position going to Atlanta."

McIlroy emerged triumphant at the Honda Classic and the PGA Championship this year.
