Rory McIlroy: "I felt okay"

Rory McIlroy believes that he can card a good score in the second round of the Honda Classic.

Rory McIlroy has said that he did not feel at his best during the first round of the Honda Classic in Florida.

The 23-year-old finished the day six shots off overnight leader Camilo Villegas after shooting an even-par 70 at the PGA National Champion Course.

"I felt okay out there, not great," the Irish Examiner quotes McIlroy as saying. "I think if I'd been playing well, or playing the way I know I can, there's something in the mid 60s out there.

"Hopefully the weather is okay tomorrow and I can go out and try to shoot a good score and put myself in position for the weekend.

"I guess as well when you're working on your swing a lot, it's hard to commit to the shot that you need to play every time."

McIlroy won the tournament last year.
