Rory McIlroy has rejected claims made by Greg Norman suggesting that Tiger Woods is intimidated by the world number one.
Norman suggested that Woods is beginning to acccept that he is no longer the dominant force in the sport but McIlroy has questioned the accuracy of the Australian's comments.
"Tiger has got 14 majors - he's been the biggest thing ever in our sport," said the Northern Irishman. "How could a 23-year-old from Northern Ireland with a few wins intimidate him? It's just not possible.
"I don't see how any of the guys on tour could be intimidated by me.
"Maybe if it was matchplay and you were beating someone head-to-head every week, but that's not the way it is."
The duo will play together in the opening round of the Tour Championship in Atlanta on Monday.
