Lowry "over the moon" with Portugal triumph

Shane Lowry has revealed that he is "over the moon" after clinching his first professional golf title at the Portugal Masters.

The Irishman, who won the Irish Open as an amateur in 2009, sealed the victory with a dramatic one-shot triumph over Ross Fisher at the Oceanico Victoria Golf Course.

"It's a dream really, I've spent the last four years being known as the fellow that won the Irish Open as an amateur," the 25-year-old told Sky Sports News.

"I've stated my purpose on the European Tour and I've won a big tournament so I'm just over the moon."

Lowry turned professional soon after his victory at the Irish Open three years ago.
