Former world number one Martin Kaymer claims that he is not worried by his poor form in 2012.

Martin Kaymer has revealed that he is not concerned by his form despite dropping out of the top 10 in the world rankings.

The former world number one has failed to finish in the top five of any tournament this year but is determined not to let his early-season performances trouble him.

Kaymer said: "I think it's pretty normal that you can't play great golf every week.

"People have to understand in sport that every athlete is human.

"I practise a lot and it will pay off sooner or later. It's just sometimes a little frustrating when it doesn't pay off straight away, but that's what it is in sport."

The 27-year-old will be aiming for his first victory of the season at this week's BMW Championship.
