Branden Grace hails "phenomenal week"

Branden Grace admits that he has been through "a hard year", but claims that it is all worthwhile following his triumph at the Alfred Dunhill Championship this afternoon.

Branden Grace has described his triumph at the Alfred Dunhill Championship as being a "fairytale ending" to his year.

The 26-year-old produced an emphatic display at the Leopard Creek Country Golf Club this afternoon to secure a seven-shot victory and claim his first European Tour title in two years.

Speaking after his final round, in which he carded four-under-par 68, Grace told reporters: "It's been a phenomenal week. It's been a long year, a hard year but now it's a fairytale ending just before Christmas.

"One of the main things this week has been the driving; I just put a new driver in the bag in Dubai and that's been the key this week."

Grace has become the first player to win both the Alfred Dunhill Championship and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
