Sergio Garcia leads Players Championship

Sergio Garcia has a one-shot lead following the second round of the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Florida.

The Spaniard, who won the tournament in 2008, followed up his 68 on Thursday with a 65 to leave him on 11-under-par overall.

Tiger Woods is a shot further back thanks to a second consecutive round of 67 which included an eagle and five birdies.

Lee Westwood, Henrik Stenson and Kevin Chappell are all on nine-under, while Ryan Palmer is one of three players on eight-under.

Masters champion Adam Scott will start the weekend four shots off the pace and Rory McIlroy is five shots back from Garcia.

Overnight leader Roberto Castro, who shot a course record-equalling 63 on Thursday, could only manage a six-over round of 78 to put him on three-under.
