Jim Furyk tops Tour Championship leaderboard

Jim Furyk has a one-shot lead after day two of the Tour Championship at the East Lake Golf Course in Atlanta, Georgia.

The American, who has an outside chance of claiming the FedEx Cup and its £7m prize, cancelled out three bogeys with nine birdies to end on seven-under-par.

Overnight leader Justin Rose is a shot further back following his round of 68, while Bubba Watson and fellow American Bo Van Pelt are currently on five-under.

World number one Rory McIlroy improved on his opening round of 69 by posting a 68 to give him a score of three-under.

However, Tiger Woods, who joined Justin Rose at the top of the leaderboard after day one, carded a 73 to finish a disappointing day on one-over.
