Juan Carlos Ferrero to caddie for Sergio Garcia

Sergio Garcia has confirmed that former tennis player Juan Carlos Ferrero will be his caddie at next month's Thailand Open.

The 2003 French Open champion retired from the sport two years ago, but he will now try his hand in the golfing world by assisting his friend and fellow Spaniard Garcia.

"I've played golf with him many times but he never caddied for me before. We just talked about it and he mentioned about it and we decided to do it. He is excited about it," said Garcia.

Garcia will head into the event in Bangkok as the defending champion following his four-shot victory last year.
