Rory McIlroy replaces Tiger Woods as face of EA SPORTS golf game

Rory McIlroy has replaced Tiger Woods as the face of EA SPORTS's golf games.

The four-time major champion will feature on the front cover for the franchise's upcoming game, Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, which will be released in June.

After being announced on the EA SPORTS website, McIlroy said: "Playing video games is one of the ways I try to relax in my downtime, and one of my favorite video games was golf.

"I am on the cover of EA SPORTS Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR and it's named after me. That is crazy. I am more excited than I can possibly put into words."

McIlroy is currently gearing up for the Masters and will head to Bay Hill for the Arnold Palmer Invitational, starting Thursday.
