Luke Donald named Euro Tour Player of the Year

Luke Donald has added another accolade to his name after he was chosen as the European Tour Player of the year.

The Englishman has had a remarkable year, topping the world rankings, claiming the money lists on both sides of the Atlantic, and being named the PGA Tour player of the year.

"I will certainly look back on this year with a lot of fond memories," said Donald.

The 34-year-old clinched the award courtesy of votes from a panel of journalists and golf commentators.
