Derksen leads China Open

Robert-Jan Derksen shot an opening round of 66 to lead the China Open by two shots.

The world number 465 recorded eight birdies in an eventful first round to lead a group of three players who finished the opening day on four-under-par.

Two of those players are Raphael Jacquelin and Brett Rumford, who have won the last two European Tour events, while Kiradech Aphibarnrat dropped just one shot to shoot a 68.

Scotland's Paul Lawrie heads a group of players on three-under, with fellow Scot Stephen Gallagher a shot further back on two-under.

2012 champion Branden Grace could only record a two-over-par round of 74.
