Crane wins McGladrey Classic after playoff

Ben Crane has won the McGladrey Classic after he defeated Webb Simpson in a playoff.

After the two Americans had ended on 15-under-par, the 35-year-old claimed the victory on the second extra hole after his opponent was unable to land his put from four feet.

Despite Simpson's loss, he has now moved above Luke Donald in the PGA Tour money list with one event of the year remaining.

Elsewhere, overnight leader Michael Thompson finished on 14-under, while South Africa's Louis Oosthuizen was one shot further back.
