Paul Casey leads the Open by one shot after the second day's play in California.

Paul Casey tops the leaderboard after a fog-affected day two of the Open in California.

Severe conditions halted play for over two-and-a-half hours and the second round will now reach its conclusion on Sunday.

The Englishman hit a 64 to put him eight-under-par, while Bud Cauley and Ernie Els are one shot further back.

Despite Casey's efforts, all eyes were again on the returning Tiger Woods, and after a bad start, the 14-time major winner made the cut when he ended the day on one-under.
