Jordan Spieth holds a two-shot lead at the end of the first day's play at The Masters at Augusta National.
The 2015 champion, who has not won a tournament since last year's Open, fired five consecutive birdies on holes 13 to 17 to help himself to a six-under 66 in the first round.
Spieth's compatriot Tony Finau shot a 68 to finish a surprise second for the round, the 28-year-old having dislocated his ankle just 24 hours earlier, and was joined by Matt Kuchar on four-under.
Rory McIlroy made a solid start as he finished three-under for the day, including a birdie on the opening hole, while Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler are one shot further back on 70.
Elsewhere, it was a day to forget for defending champion Sergio Garcia, who put five balls in the water on the 15th hole to run up a score of 13 - the joint-worst score on any Masters hole in history - and run up a first-round nine-over 81.
