Woods reveals his bone "popped out"

Tiger Woods has revealed that a bone in his hand "popped out" during a stray shot in the final round of The Masters on Sunday.

The former world number one finished the major tied 17th on five-under and 283 for the tournament, which was his first major since taking a break from the sport in February.

The 39-year-old, who has struggled with back injuries of late, appeared to suffer a hand injury when he struck a hidden tree root off the pines on the ninth hole.

The American winced in pain and later told CBS that he dislocated his thumb while playing the shot.

After five bogeys, Woods finished the final round with a one-over 73, while 21-year-old Jordan Spieth won the green jacket at Augusta National.
