Lee Westwood has spoken of his disappointment at his short game after he narrowly missed out on a Masters play-off.

The 38-year-old world number three finished on eight under par, but he missed a one-foot putt in his third round and a two-footer on the final day.

Had he have sunk both efforts, he would have tied for the lead with Louis Oosthuizen and eventual champion Bubba Watson.

"The story of the week is you have got to putt well to win The Masters and I haven't," said Westwood

"I didn't really make that many putts, but I'll keep plugging. I don't feel like giving up just yet."

Westwood finished in joint third and he has now been placed in the top three in six of his last 10 majors.
