Ian Poulter pleased with third-round improvement at Masters

Ian Poulter says that he is pleased with the improvements he made during the third round of the Masters.

Ian Poulter has said that he is pleased with the improvement he made during the third round of The Masters.

The Englishman shot a five-under 67, after shooting 72 in the second round.

"It was pretty good. So good I was standing on the 18th tee, realising if I hit it in the middle of that 18th green, it would be 18 greens in regulation, which I've never done before around this place," Poulter told Sky Sports News.

"So obviously I pushed my tee-shot right, under the trees, missed the green left and managed to get up and down.

"I'm hitting it really good, I've done everything in practice I've wanted to do but I just haven't holed the putts the first two days."

Poulter completed a bogey-free round after hitting 17 greens in regulation.
