McIlroy in the hunt at Masters

Rory McIlroy has put himself in the mix around the top of the leaderboard on day two of the Masters as a round of 69 left him on four-under-par.

The Ulsterman, who was on one-under at the start of play, birdied three, four and seven to put him on four-under at the end of the back nine.

Despite bogeying the 10th, McIlroy was soon back at four-under after the 13th.

A birdie at the 15th had put the 22-year-old temporarily at the top of the leaderboard, but a bogey on the penultimate hole left McIlroy tied for second place.

Jason Dufner and veteran Fred Couple currently hold the clubhouse lead on five-under.
