Europe's Stephen Gallacher expects "drama and passion" in Ryder Cup

Gallacher expects "drama and passion"

Europe's Stephen Gallacher believes that this week's Ryder Cup contest against the USA at Gleneagles will be full of "drama".

The Scotsman was given a wildcard pick by captain Paul McGinley after missing out on automatic qualification.

Ahead of the contest, which gets underway on Friday, the rookie told reporters: "The course is perfect. It's going to be great for viewing with lots of birdies, especially coming down the stretch with a couple of par fives.

"The Ryder Cup is all about the drama and passion and we will get that. I feel ready for playing now and I'm a better golfer than I was 10 years ago."

Europe have won five of their last six encounters against the USA, the latest being in Medinah in 2012.
