Sebastian Vettel believes that the Belgian Grand Prix couldn't have gone better, after claiming his seventh win of the season at Spa.

The Red Bull driver topped the podium, with teammate Mark Webber second and McLaren's Jenson Button third.

"It was not an easy race, especially with regard to tyres," he told autoblog.com. "However, we can be more than satisfied with the outcome. It couldn't have been better.

"The car was fantastic, although we had to come into the pits very early on at the start of the race to check tyres, but we had enough speed later to make up for it."

Vettel leads Webber by 92 points in the drivers' championship, with a remaining 175 up for grabs.

The next meeting in the F1 calendar is the Italian Grand Prix at Monza from 9-11 September.
