Jean-Louis Moncet: Michael Schumacher is "waking up very slowly"

Schumacher "waking up very slowly"

Michael Schumacher is "waking up very slowly" after spending 10 months in a coma, according to Jean-Louis Moncet.

The respected French F1 commentator has revealed that he recently spoke to Schumacher's kart-racing son Mick about the current condition of the seven-time world champion.

"I saw his son and he told me that Schumi is waking up very slowly," Moncet is quoted as saying by GrandPrix.com.

"Although things are going at a slow pace, he has a lot of time, I would say his whole life in front of him to get back on track.

"The problem for Michael was not the hit, but the mounting of the Go-Pro camera that he had on his helmet that injured his brain."

Schumacher recently left a rehabilitation clinic in Switzerland and returned to his home on the shores of Lake Geneva.
