Bernie Ecclestone has stated an interest in buying the Nurburgring racing circuit, according to reports in Germany.
Daily newspaper Die Rheinfpalz claims that the Formula 1 boss wants to rescue the financially-stricken German track.
However, it is believed that Ecclestone would not purchase the circuit 'at his own risk'.
The Nurburgring, which alternates with Hockenheim in hosting the Formula 1 German Grand Prix, announced insolvency proceedings last week.
