Lotus's Romain Grosjean in positive mood ahead of 2015 season

Lotus driver Romain Grosjean declares that "things are getting better and better" after a poor 2014 season.

Lotus driver Romain Grosjean has said that he is much more positive ahead of the new season, after a disastrous 2014.

Grosjean scored just eight points last year in a campaign which was hampered by engine problems on the track and financial problems off it.

However, things are looking rosier ahead of the new season, which starts next month, and the Frenchman hopes that their move to the Mercedes engines can catapult them up the grid.

He told Autosport: "Certainly things are getting better and better. It was important for the team to sign Mercedes, to have the right power on board, to make sure that we don't have any questions from the outside.

"We know what we are getting there. The team also learned a lot last year and we made some positive changes. There is a lot more stability this winter than there was from 2013/2014. We needed some time for things to move on and get everything stable. Things are going in the right direction now, which is nice."

Grosjean will, once again, be partnered by Pastor Maldonado this season.
