Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel clinches pole position for Sunday's Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

Sebastian Vettel has clinched pole position for Sunday's Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

The Red Bull driver recorded a fastest lap of 1:23.859 ahead of teammate Mark Webber on 1:23.990.

Nico Hulkenberg of Sauber finished in third place, while the Ferrari duo of Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso came in fourth and fifth.

Mercedes's Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen of Lotus were both knocked out in Q2 and will start in 12th and 11th respectively on Sunday.
