Pat Fry, Nikolas Tombazis leave Ferrari

Pat Fry and Nikolas Tombazis leave Ferrari after boss Maurizio Arrivabene reorganises the team.

Pat Fry and Nikolas Tombazis have left Ferrari as new principal Maurizio Arrivabene reshuffles his team ahead of the 2015 season.

Arrivabene was chosen to replace Marco Mattiacci, who was sacked after just seven months in the hotseat following a poor season for the Italian team.

Fry, the former head of engineering, leaves Ferrari after five seasons with the constructor, while Tombazis ends a 15-year association with the Prancing Horse.

The reshuffle sees former Lotus design guru James Allison retain his position as technical director, while Esteban Gutierrez is named as the team's test driver for 2015.

Gutierrez brings with him significant sponsorship money from Carlos Slim, the Mexican telecoms magnate who has also helped finance Sergio Perez's career in Formula 1.
