York City midfielder Scott Kerr calls for his teammates to step up and end the club's poor run of form.

York City's Scott Kerr has called for more conviction from his teammates following a run of seven games without a win.

The League Two outfit have slumped to 17th in the table following last weekend's 2-0 defeat to Torquay United and have won just twice at home all season.

Kerr told York Press: "We don't talk enough as a team. That's a fact but we are all grown men in there and I think people need to step up.

"When you cross that white line and you are out there, it's a lonely place at times and the crowd are on your back and it's hard but we have got to stick together as a team and a club.

"We need to pick up the three points sooner rather than later. You need to win your home games and we are not doing that."

York are in League Two action this weekend when they take on Rochdale away.
