Nicklas Bendtner has claimed that his situation at Wolfsburg is "unsustainable", fuelling rumours of an imminent exit from the Volkswagen Arena.
The 27-year-old striker joined the Wolves from Arsenal in 2014 but has failed to nail down a regular place in Dieter Hecking's side, with just three goals to show from 28 league appearances.
Rumours suggested that Bendtner had bid farewell to his teammates before the Bundesliga's winter break, although he was quick to deny that he had immediate plans to find a new club.
"I did not say goodbye to anyone. I play for Wolfsburg and I remain committed to working there," he told bt.dk.
"My situation is undoubtedly unsustainable, but I am in no way released. As long as I have a contract with Wolfsburg then I will respect it."
Bendtner is contracted to Wolfsburg until the end of the 2016-17 season.
