The Wellington Phoenix and Perth Glory have played out a 1-1 draw at the Westpac Stadium in the A-League.

The visitors took the lead in the 34th minute when former Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur defender William Gallas found the target.

The hosts left it until the 85th minute to secure a point for themselves when Kenny Cunningham equalised.

The result leaves the Phoenix eighth in the 10-team Australian top flight, while Glory remain bottom.
