Watford complete Alessandro Diamanti loan signing

Watford have signed midfielder Alessandro Diamanti on a season-long loan deal.

The former West Ham United player links up with the Hornets from Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande.

Speculation linking the Italian with a switch to Vicarage Road first emerged earlier this summer, with both clubs now reaching an agreement over the temporary transfer.

Diamanti, who has been capped 17 times for Italy, spent the second half of last season on loan in Serie A with Fiorentina.
