Alex Jakubiak inks new Watford deal

Young Watford striker Alex Jakubiak has penned a new four-year deal with the club before being shipped out on loan to League One side Fleetwood Town.

The 20-year-old joined the Hornets six years ago and progressed through the club's academy and has impressed so far this season with three goals in three games for the Watford Under-23s side, managed by Harry Kewell.

Jakubiak has previously been loaned out to clubs in the lower leagues, including Oxford United, Braintree Town and Dagenham & Redbridge, and also has two caps for the Scotland Under-19s side.

Watford have agreed a season-long loan with Fleetwood for Jakubiak, although there is the option for him to be recalled during the January transfer window.

Fleetwood have also completed the deadline-day signing of striker Kieran Wallace from Sheffield United on a permanent deal.
