Report: Villarreal finalise Victor Ruiz deal

Villarreal have reportedly reached an agreement with Valencia over the permanent signing of Spanish defender Victor Ruiz.

The 26-year-old spent the 2014-15 season on loan with the Yellow Submarine – making 25 league appearances for Marcelino's team.

According to AS, both clubs were keen on doing business this summer and a deal in the region of £2.5m has been agreed for the central defender.

Ruiz is expected to become Villarreal's fifth signing of the summer, joining Samuel Garcia, Samu Castillejo, Alphonse Areola and Leo Baptistao in the squad for the new campaign.
