Nilmar to undergo surgery

Villarreal have confirmed that striker Nilmar will undergo a surgery to remove a cyst from his right knee.

The 27-year-old Brazilian international will have the operation tomorrow in Barcelona but the club are yet to give any indication as to how long he will be sidelined for.

Giuseppe Rossi is now the only recognisable centre-forward that the Yellow Submarine have to call upon, with Argentine frontman Marco Ruben already nursing a ligament injury.

Juan Carlos Garrido's side currently sit 12th in the La Liga table.
