Hunt turns down French club?

Stephen Hunt has reportedly rejected the opportunity to join Ligue 1 outfit Valenciennes.

The Republic of Ireland international is currently without a club following his release by Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this summer.

Valenciennes coach Daniel Sanchez was keen to add the 32-year-old to his squad, which also includes former Liverpool midfielder Anthony Le Tallec, but Hunt is eager to sign for an English club, according to The People.

As well as Wolves, the winger has also represented Crystal Palace, Brentford, Reading and Hull City.
