Troyes reach Coupe de la Ligue last four with victory over Evian TG

Troyes cause an upset in the Coupe de la Ligue by knocking out Evian TG in the quarter-finals.

Ligue 2 side Troyes caused an upset in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue this evening by overcoming Ligue 1 side Evian TG.

The hosts went in front soon after the half-hour mark when Benjamin Nivet found the net before Ghislain Gimbert made it two just ahead of the interval.

Clarck N'Sikulu cut the deficit in half by scoring for Evian but the visitors couldn't mount a comeback as Troyes put the result beyond doubt late on.

Jimmy Cabot ended any nerves in the home supporters to ensure Troyes's place in the last four.
