AFC Telford United sign former Birmingham City defender

Defender Ryan Higgins has signed a deal with Conference Premier side AFC Telford United.

Higgins began his career with Everton before agreeing terms with Birmingham City in 2013.

However, the 20-year-old failed to make a senior appearance for the Blues during his time at St Andrew's and was subsequently released by the club in the summer.

The right-back will go straight into AFC Telford's squad for the game against Halifax Town on Saturday afternoon as the Bucks look for their first victory of the season.
