Faye White praises Stephanie Houghton

Former England captain Faye White has praised Stephanie Houghton after the Team GB defender scored the winner against New Zealand.

The Arsenal defender struck in the second period to secure all three points in the 1-0 win, and White has praised her "confidence".

"Steph has a had a lot of misfortune in the past and it is brilliant the confidence she has shown to step up and score the free kick," White told the BBC.

GB continue their Olympic campaign against Cameroon on Saturday.
