Stephanie Houghton "proud" of Team GB win

Team GB's Stephanie Houghton expresses her delight following the team's 1-0 win over New Zealand.

Team GB's Stephanie Houghton has expressed her delight at scoring the winner during her team's 1-0 victory over New Zealand in the Olympics.

The Arsenal Ladies player took to Twitter in the wake of the game to praise her teammates and hail their performance.

She wrote: "[I'm] really happy to score and really proud of the girls! Solid Performance! What a way to start the Olympics."

Houghton scored the only goal of the game on 65 minutes to ensure that Team GB's first ever competitive women's football match ended in victory.

Team GB continue their Group E campaign against Cameroon on Saturday.
