Michael Owen close to signing a two-year deal with Stoke City

Michael Owen has arrived at Stoke City's training ground for talks ahead of a possible move, according to reports

Owen was released by Manchester United at the end of last season and he has been mulling over his next move.

The 32-year-old previously revealed that he had received interest from some of Europe's big clubs but it now appears that he is ready to sign a two-year deal with Stoke City, according to Sky Sports News.

Owen had also been linked with a move to former club Liverpool but it was reported on Tuesday that Liverpool had declined the opportunity to sign Owen.
