Stoke City boss Paul Lambert says that his team have a great chance of avoiding relegation to the Championship this season.

Stoke City boss Paul Lambert has insisted that his side are likely to avoid the relegation drop this season.

The Potters currently sit 19th in the Premier League table, having not won any of their last eight games.

Lambert's side host Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, and three points could potentially lift Stoke out of the bottom three.

"Since I've been here I haven't had to pick the team up because of how well they have played. We just haven't got the results our performances have deserved," Lambert told reporters.

"The lads have the belief we can do it and that's important to me. We need everyone to stand up and if we do that then we have a great chance.

"I always look to win the next game, I don't target particular fixtures. You can win any game you go into."

Stoke have six games left to secure their Premier League status for next season.
