Stoke City to appeal Geoff Cameron red

Stoke City will appeal the red card handed to central defender Geoff Cameron in their 2-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion at the weekend.

Stoke City have revealed that they will appeal the red card handed to Geoff Cameron in Saturday's Premier League clash against West Bromwich Albion.

The central defender was given his marching orders in the latter stages of his team's 2-1 defeat at West Bromwich Albion after clashing with Baggies midfielder Claudio Yacob.

However, on their official Twitter page, the Potters have confirmed that they will launch an appeal.

The defeat at West Brom was Stoke's seventh in the league this season, but a total of 29 points has left them 10th in the table, just two points off the top seven.
