Pennant pleads guilty to driving charges

Stoke City winger Jermaine Pennant has pleaded guilty to two driving offences.

The 29-year-old was questioned by police after his BMW collided with a silver Audi in Sale, Greater Manchester during the early hours of April 29.

He was accused of drink-driving and driving while disqualified, both of which he has admitted to at Trafford Magistrates' Court this morning.

Pennant is due back in court at around 1.45pm when he will learn whether his punishment will be custodial or pecuniary.
