Scottish League One Roundup: Top-of-the-table stalemate

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's Scottish League One action as league leaders Forfar and second-place Dunfermline play out goalless draw.

League leaders Forfar Athletic and second-place Dunfurmline Athletic cancelled each other out this afternoon to playing out a goaless draw in Scottish League One.

Ayr United were able to make up ground on the top two teams with a hard fought 1-0 away win at Greenock Morton which moves them into third place and five points off the summit.

Stenhousemuir were the big winners of the day, condemning Stirling Albion to a 4-0 defeat that leaves them bottom of the table with six points and looking increasingly likely to get cut adrift.

Stenhousemuir, however, jumped out of the drop zone and will look to continue to make ground on the promotion spots, with only four points between them and Morton in fourth.

Results in full: Brechin 1-2 Stranraer, Dumfermline 0-0 Forfar, Greenock Morton 0-1 Ayr United, Peterhead 1-1 Airdrieonians, Stirling 0-4 Stenhousemuir
