Andros Townsend determined to make World Cup squad

Andros Townsend reveals that he is determined to seize his chance and be part of the England squad for next year's World Cup in Brazil.

Andros Townsend has revealed that he is determined to take his opportunity and be part of the England squad for next year's World Cup.

The Tottenham Hotspur winger has made an instant impact on the national team following his debut last month.

Townsend, 22, is now eager to seize his chance and be part of the tournament in Brazil.

"For every young kid, it is a dream to play for your country and at the World Cup," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.

"Now I have got my foot through the door with my first two caps, I can kind of taste it, and I am not going to let that opportunity slip, to think back in 10 or 15 years what could have been.

"I just want to make the most of my opportunity and whenever I am given the chance, I just have to take it."

Townsend is expected to start for England when they host Germany in an international friendly on Tuesday.
